Ground Staffs are an important part of the aviation industry. They are responsible for attending to the passengers at the airports.

Responsibilities of a Ground Staff:

They provide flight information and help passengers to check in. They are responsible for booking air tickets, making reservations, and carrying out security- checking and loading, and unloading passengers’ luggage from an aircraft.

They assist passengers with disabilities and also those who are with small children. Ground staff also help in stocking refreshments in an aircraft and cleaning the aircraft.

Eligibility:

Aspirants who want to become ground staff should clear the Class 12 board examination from a recognized board in any stream.

There are no additional requirements for becoming a Ground Staff. However, aspirants who want to reach the zenith of their career in the aviation industry as ground staff can opt for Diploma in Aviation Hospitality and Aviation Management program, a Diploma in Ground Staff and cabin crew Training program, or other similar programs from any Government Aviation college.

Aspirants need to possess exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills. They must be friendly,  polite, and willing to help a passenger whenever required. Aspirants should be physically fit because this job needs working for hours at a stretch.
