Cabin Crew Myths and Truths

The term cabin crew or more likely “air hostess" fascinates us.  We always assume that the job of an air hostess is very glamorous and comfortable. They can travel to various destinations of the world and meet celebrities and important personalities and many more. But there is another side of the story too. Today I am going to discuss the common myths and the actual truths related to the cabin crew.

Myth: Cabin Crew are “glorified waitresses”. They only need to look beautiful and glamorous and put up a broad smile on their face and serve refreshments to the onboard passengers.
Truth: Cabin crew is a lot more than that. They work tirelessly to keep us safe and comfortable during a flight. They offer refreshments and maintain a pleasant environment inside the flight. They are also specially trained to perform CPR and first aid. Moreover, they are the ones who assist us during an emergency like they are trained to fight the fire; they guide passengers to safety during an emergency evacuation.

Myth: Cabin crew need to be young, beautiful and slim and must be unmarried.
Truth: The experience and attitude matter more than physique and several married air hostesses are doing their job perfectly fine. The main criteria of becoming an air hostess are: 

⇒ They must have very pleasing personalities and should be confident.

⇒ Must be very good at speaking English, and last but not least.

⇒ Should be healthy and fit.

Myth: Only women can be cabin crew.
Truth: Men and Women have equal chances to become a part of the cabin crew. If you are confident and aspire to become a cabin crew member then irrespective of gender, caste or creed you can enroll yourself in a recognized and reputed air hostess training college to turn your dreams into reality of soaring high with success.
