The Average Salary for a flight attendant fresher is approximately around INR 2, 50,000 lakhs per annum which may increase to INR 4, 40,000 Lakh Per annum with 4-9 years of experience and flight attendants with 10-20 years of experience earn between INR 7 Lakhs to 8 Lakhs per annum.

But becoming a flight attendant is not a child’s play so if you dream of becoming a flight attendant you need to understand that the job of a flight attendant is not limited to looking only beautiful you need to perform many responsibilities as the position demands. The minimum qualification required to opt for any flight attendant training courses is clearing of 10+2 examinations in any stream from any recognized board and need to possess exceptional communication skills especially speaking. You must be proficient at speaking English because you will communicate with various people belonging to different countries and cultures. Knowing another international language other than English is an extra added advantage
Your age should be between 18- 26 years and must be unmarried. Skin complexion has nothing to do but your height should be a minimum of 5 feet .2 inches and your weight needs to be proportionate to your height. You need to be physically fit, have very good eyesight, and an attractive personality.
 Flight attendants need to have a very pleasing personality with a very polite and pleasant voice. Also, you must have the presence of mind to deal with tricky situations. You should be a perfect team player as there will be around 12- 14 members working alongside you.
 You always have to cater to the needs of the passengers with a broad smile on your face and ensure every passenger is comfortable. You will often get unruly passengers who may scream and shout at you but you need to deal with them in a very calm and composed manner and always with a broad smile
Also whether you work with domestic airlines or international emergencies can crop up any time anywhere, be mentally prepared for that. The training institutes will train you very well in how to deal with such situations but additionally, you also need to prepare yourself. It is very common for airplanes to face some sort of turbulence but sometimes they are very rough and severe and most of the passengers feel scared. You may also feel scared but you need to hide your fears and with a smile, you need to assure them that the condition will pass soon and there is nothing to worry about.
.Sometimes you will not be able to meet your dear family for 2-3 days or maybe 6-7 days (if you work with international airways). Prepare yourself well for this.
